GOT7 released their title track "If You Do" for their new album MAD. Let's chat, shall we.
SONG:
It's like JYP and Infinite had a baby. It still has the R&B and Soul JYP is known for, but yet it's so dark. Usually, I look at the rapping when it comes to got GOT7 and then I appreciate the singing since most of their songs have mostly raps in them. This one didn't and was somehwhat happy about that. It gave the vocal line more to sing instead of just the chorus and Yugyeom and Bam Bam's voices really impressed me. I knew they could sing but I didn't know their voice was THAT good. The raps were good as usual, but I really liked Jackson's this time. Mark's was too low and Bam Bam's voice was just too energetic for the rap.
Besides that, I loved the lyrics. This is one of the only kpop songs I know where the lyrics match up perfectly and it isn't hard to understand. I didn't feel like I was trying to analyze a poem this time.

MV:
Like I said before: JYP meets Infinite. The setting of the music video was really dark, probably to match the tone of the song. The dancing was really great and is the prime reason why I like the song, in all honesty. I also love how they show frustration. It doesn't look forced or cringe-worthy or awkward. And they all seem to vent out in different ways. Like Youngjae spray-painting, JB kicking stuff over, Bam Bam bashing a car, Jr. bashing portraits, Yugyeom banging on doors, and Jackson stripping taking off his jacket and using a punching bag.
